J.B. VAN HOLLEN
ATTORNEY GENERAL
Attorney General Van Hollen Honors Fallen Law Enforcement Officers
Fallen officers and faithful service. Last month I was humbled to once
again participate in ceremonies that honor and remember Wisconsin's law
enforcement officers who left us in uniform and on the job. They were
ceremonies that honored all those who lived bravely and left a legacy of service
and sacrifice.
Each
officer, whose life was taken, upholding the law and keeping us safe, shared a
singular commitment to service. Clearly, their sacrifice is a great gift
to each of us and the civil society in which we live.
While
honoring those who we have lost, we can not help but recognize all law
enforcement officers and the risk they face to protect us every day.
Public safety is and must remain the first priority of our civil society.
Without it, little else can hope to succeed.
Wisconsin
lost no officers in the line of duty last year. For that I am grateful.
We must never forget that Wisconsin benefits from, every minute of every day,
the service and protection of our law enforcement professionals.
Thank you
for your service.
