Log Files

The DOJ gathers standard information from our Microsoft Internet Information Server logs when someone accesses our web site through a browser.

• time and date the site was accessed
• IP address of the user
• what operation was performed and a code telling us whether or not the operation was successful
• how big the file was that was sent to the user's browser and how long it took to download it
• the port the user came in on
• what type of browser the user used to access our web site
• what site referred the user to our Web site.
